Are You ready to prosper?
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and may keep well, even as your soul keeps and prospers” (3 John 2 AMPC).
As I write another post about encouragement, I want you to know the depth of God’s love. He prepares a harvest for faithful believers. Many of us depend on local churches for leadership as well as spiritual growth. In the world, we all worry about finances, ministries, relationships, but Jesus points us toward promises. Blessings can chase us down after we are obedient. And Jesus does want anyone to lack. With that said I speak life into your spirit man so you can glorify the hand God.
Financial problems are common challenges among families. In light of the recession, everybody can tell a horror story. Recently, I met a nice lady Gwen who lacked finances while fighting cancer. She quietly explained her struggle with necessities rent, food, and stress. As a single mom, she worked 40 hours a week so her family stayed in the home and had enough food. I think how cancer is a battle emotionally and physically. But Gwen smiled through the pain. I saw all those wrinkles in her face which emphasized stress and heartache over years. I understood the sacrifice too. Despite mounting bills and fear, Gwen walked by faith when the doctor’s report was grim.
Problems consume peoples’ minds, and then many suffer depression. Instead of praising God, you worry about surviving uncertain storms in life. You can never save enough money, with a few dollars. Children of God inherit Abraham’s blessings. “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender” Proverbs 22:7 AMPC.
“Faith show the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a god reputation” Hebrews 11:1-2 NLT.
Abraham became a role model because he believed. He moved to a foreign land by faith so that he received his own inheritance. Now, we recognize Abraham as the father of faith. Romans 4:11-12 “I have taught you in the way of skillful and godly wisdom; I have led you in paths of uprightness”.
God doesn’t look at race and gender, but he demands effort. Anyone who believes the word is an heir of Abraham. Like Abraham, you follow God to an unfamiliar place (job or neighborhood). Of course, you don’t know every step right away how God will provide money and favor for promotion. Trust God through difficult times. Amen!
Psalms 29: “Honor the Lord for the glory of his name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness”.
In worship services, congregations reverence the Lord because they express joy through redemption. When Jesus died on the cross, he set us free from sin and bondage. Jesus redeemed you from the curse of the law, and we live in the light. Through worship, I enjoy fellowship with God experiencing joy. Sing a song to the Lord early in the morning; in the midst of worship, you become closer. “Come close to God and he will come close to you” James 4:8 AMP. A person lacks a strong connection with our creator, without meaningful worship.
Local churches across the country take on enormous responsibilities ministering urgent needs through services. As a result, ministries are complex when different groups of people have. Some parents search for support and positive role models. Others desire friendships because they lack encouragement at home. At the same time many families face drug addictions. But rest during a crisis because the peace of God helps us speak faith. Anyone who expects a blessing can receive it.
Two thousand years ago, Jesus walked the earth preaching deliverance from sickness and emotional wounds. His promises do not change today. Even if the church struggles with ministering the word and adequate staff, God commands victory. When Jesus died on the cross, he gave us authority in the spiritual realm. It symbolizes victory, not defeat. Speaking healing over every area is vital for any ministry because the word has power.
I made solid friendships who defined my character as a young woman. To be honest, I probably give up rather than plowing forward. It is easy avoiding church services when trials come. TV evangelists carry messages to homes, and Americans can hear the gospel 24 hours a day. Fellowship among Believers is the most important! A good friend tells you the truth. Before spiritual growth occurs, you must develop relationships. These friendships encourage other people so they reach the highest potential. For example, I lacked faith when I spoke against the word, but a wise woman constantly renewed my spirit man. She gave me scriptures for encouragement when I doubted the word. Through fellowship, I learned the value in perseverance.
More important, when communities lack faith for friends, they can’t witness victory through ministries either. Any woman cannot stand behind the pulpit and encourage families when she does not have amazing friendships. Wise women pray with purpose receiving healing while expecting miracles. With insight into the word, defeat cannot cripple so many lives. You receive answers by reaffirming faith and confessing positive words. People who lack wise counsel don’t see other alternatives. As a result many suffer emotional turmoil because of bad choices. Ministries are stagnate.
Stand on faith, expect positive results. Faith and doubt do not belong together; faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. What areas do you surrender so God can move? Give up TV. Spending more or less time in prayer, we focus on the word, not the world. As a goal, I want to bless communities with wisdom as well as encouragement. Others need to hear how God’s favor can change lives radically. Though we don’t deserve grace, God is patient.
