Two years ago, I decided to write a blog about faith, love and relationships since I struggled with those areas. Life threw curve balls, and I dodged them at that. When I established more faith, I didn’t love. Whether we realize all the positive relationships that help us right now, we become a product of our environments. You are a carbon copy of another Christian who adds depth and character to your personality. Besides, relationships are often difficult with drama because people will go through various emotions. But we must establish strong relationships so that we can influence others.
Our walk is a challenge each day: you face unknown obstacles at home like a medical emergency or your spouse’s temper. If you don’t pray, your world collapses. The Devil can influence us to argue with one another consequently we can develop strife. You can’t solve these problems alone.
Jesus intercedes for all of us like a lawyer. We are never alone. When you and I allow the Holy Spirit to guide us through trials, we receive joy and peace. God is near if you don’t realize it. Worrying about family, I felt the weight of the world upon my shoulders. But God, above all, cares so much. The bible says that crying endureth for a night but joy cometh in the morning. Though I worry about my own problems, God already has an answer waiting for me. My blessing is around the corner.
A brother is born for adversity Proverbs 17:7 AMP. As a child of God you have so many resources like friends. Good friends give advice. When you feel hopeless, we depend on friendships.
Years ago, I met Myrelo a true-blue friend. Arriving to Columbia, I was nervous about making new friends and adjusting to civilian life. In the military, other people controlled my schedule. Then, I had liked my new routine with all the classes.
When I met Myrelo at a Christian fellowship, right off the bat I knew she was a woman of God. When I walked into a room, she praised the Lord with a song and dance. She prayed.
God knows which friends that an individual can associate with. God uses someone else in your life as you eek God’s will. You might not recognize this person.
Since my parents weren’t Christians, Myrelo and other believers became my family. With their support and unconditional love, I developed a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Many times a friend gave me confirmation during intense trials. That word was sweet. And I made better choices about potential boyfriends. Often, Myrelo encouraged me with the word of knowledge when I was weak. Late at night we prayed in her dorm for guidance. We were young back then, and I just developed faith.
Those small moments were precious because I learned what faith is. Over time I trusted God like a father who provides everything for his children. You know my prayer life explodes with powerful testimonies.
When my friends encouraged me, I prayed more and attended church services. I encouraged someone else.
Like the Israelites, I doubted God when he tried to lead me into the Promised Land. I asked God why he
meets your needs. chose me to minister hope. There were failures!
I didn’t believe what God said about me. Jeremiah 17:7-8 AMP Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green.
Of course, Christian’s major goal is making disciples because Jesus gave the Great Commission before ascending to heaven. Jesus, teacher spent three years among his brothers and taught parables about finances and love.
Did you know Jesus ate and lived among his disciples preparing them for greater works? Every day Jesus, consistently, invested the word and time into each person. He equips us for battle.
We don’t use guns and grenades to fight a war but the word. And the world penetrates our bone and marrow (sharper than a two edges sword). Speaking scriptures, Christians gain power over the Devil.
Now, all of us can build better relationships as we seek guidance and wisdom from our father. I read my Proverbs every day with my yearly reading plan, but I must evaluate the word so I can get a deeper revelation and expand my learning. Through the years I appreciate the word. You agree! God never wants his children to be alone. If you don’t have good friends, just pray. Allow God to answer your prayers.
