God is my rock
Acts 17:26 And he made from one all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation.
When I watch the news, I see stories about families struggling to pay bills and save enough money. My pastor said, “Most Americans cannot save $400 for emergency funds.” Unfortunately, his statement reflects the reality of many families who struggle with finances and the job market. The labor force added 7.8 million jobs, but workers must demand for higher wages. Today, I believe that Jesus is my Rock because he provides for my living expenses as well as health. He is hope in a dark world where some depend on antidepressant drugs or crack which gives someone a temporary high. Crack gives you a high, but you need more drugs to maintain the high. As a result people waste money and effort on drugs. However, God becomes my rock as he protects us from danger and heals. Just like a mom, God provides for his children; a mom cooks meals and buys clothes. I don’t have to worry about tomorrow because God is my Jehovah Girah. He supplies my needs. We serve an amazing God. His grace is sufficient for us. The world suffers pain while we become the light with God’s word. When I witness to a neighbor, I give them hope in a cruel world. The word becomes life.
Prayer: Lord, I do not worry about my life such as food and shelter. You already know about my needs and provide all the answers.
