Yes, the joy of the Lord gives me strength each minute as I endure stress! I love the Lord, and I need strength. A Christian needs joy to live every moment with purpose. Joy lives inside of us. As you meditate and confess positive words, you gain strength. When I take my eyes off God, I worry about everything, homework and personal relationships.
Happiness an emotion comes from our external circumstances like buying a new car. Having money, we find temporary fulfillment when you and I buy new clothes and furniture. God desires blessings for his children. However, you shouldn’t make money or a job your idol. Your relationship with God is first.
When you have a close relationship with God, you receive joy. Loving God, we obey his commands with a pure heat and allow the Holy Spirit to be our comforter. God wants us to experience joy. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control Galatians 5:22 NLT. With the Holy Spirit, you and I can appreciate God’s word, and his beauty that we see in the mountains and parks.
Most people (in the world) get happy when they obtain a big promotion or drink alcohol.
Above all, Christians’ happiness shouldn’t focus on a buzz after drinking. I have joy and peace, without alcohol. Though the world focus on individuality pursuing ambitions, we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us and understand our purpose for a specific career.
Riding in my car, I heard a song about joy. The singer said, “Weeping may endure for a moment but joy comes in the morning.” The Lord just confirmed my goal as I was thinking about writing this post. We can have more joy, but we must control our thoughts.
My authority over negative thoughts
Our thoughts are so powerful. We follow the direction of the dominant thought. When you think negative thoughts constantly, you do negative actions.
Before you realize a pattern, you made mistakes. Someone who suffers depression over time can develop many illnesses like Bipolar. God did not design our bodies to endure depression.
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again-rejoice! Philippians 4:4 NLT.
Don’t ever doubt, but pray with confidence. When I worked as a customer service representative, I became a prayer warrior because I was frustrated about my stats. I met all my stats each month after praying.
I can’t take all the credit because I’m a smart person. But the favor of God helped me. Rejoice in the Lord because he provides.
All of us go through a muddy patch. During the day, the Holy Spirit gently guides my spirit man. Occasionally, I resist a little bit, and my flesh rises when someone else irritates me. I submit to God. What areas do you struggle against in secret? Fear? Faith? Joy? God knows all your secrets, and you can experience joy right now.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them Romans 8:28 NLT.
